Who should participate

    Any organization or individual impacted by supply chain issues, and in particular, supply chains as they relate to critical minerals, transportation and border operations is invited to participate.

    Organizations and individuals who have already made submissions in recent consultations (i.e., Breaking down inter-jurisdictional regulatory barriers, Blue Economy Regulatory Review, National Supply Chain Summit (January 2022), National Supply Chain Task Force Final Report and Recommendations 2022) do not need to resubmit, as we will consider information previously received through these related consultations.

    How to participate

    Provide your input by visiting the consultation theme pages and posting your thoughts and suggestions in response to the questions posed. You may respond to questions using the forum feature or upload your submission. 

    Why use this platform? It encourages transparency of the consultation process by allowing you to share your views with the public and review and engage with comments made by other contributors. 

    If you prefer to share your views by email, you may contact regulation-reglementation@tbs-sct.gc.ca. If you contribute by email, please note that your submission will be posted to the Government of Canada’s Open Data Portal. In your email submission please indicate: 

    a.     if any specific portions of your submission are to be kept confidential); and 

    b.     if any identifiers (e.g., organization name) are to be removed before publication.

    All information received throughout this submission process is subject to the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.


    How your input will be used

    Following the closing of the consultation, the Government of Canada will develop a Supply Chain Regulatory Roadmap based on the comments received. Feedback may also be shared with international or provincial/territorial jurisdictions for their consideration, as appropriate. Comments that are out of scope (e.g., comments that do not relate to the regulatory framework) will be reviewed but may not be used in the development of the Regulatory Roadmap.

    A summary of the responses received will be posted on Canada.ca and all input received on this platform and by email will be made public on the Government of Canada’s Open Data Portal in accordance with the Directive on Open Government.
